Team members associated with this expedition have been hand-picked for their independence of spirit, and ability to work in a team. Though we all possess leadership abilities required to run a six-week expedition, the key here is going to be interpersonal relations and the ability to work as a team in close quarters on an extended basis.
Many of us have had long experiences as such, but never in such isolated conditions. This trip is being planned by people would know and trust each other enough to go together anywhere, especially to the ends of the earth.
One of the advantages of the team assembled is that, while there is a broad range of talent, all possess a similar passion for mountaineering and the outdoors. For all involved, this expedition will be the most committing undertaking so far, though several members have been higher or on longer trips.
The plan is being laid out for eight to ten expedition members, so hopefully we can get all these people lined up and still find one more to join the team. While the expedition is not small, we hope to increase the chances of team success and keep costs down by having more friends along. What happens from Base Camp is the real adventure!
