Unlike professionally sponsored athletes and adventurers, none of the Unnamed-Unclimbed team is a professional athlete. We are all professionals of a different sort, in that we hold day jobs that we use to fuel our dreams. Collectively, we are the ideal demographic, we are the typical consumer, and we have everything in common with the customers who buy products every day. No pedestals on which to stand after soloing K2, no porters or pack animals, no elitist mountaineering society roles, just the grit of recreational mountaineers in the spirit of Mick Fowler: tax accountant, and winner of the Piolet d'Or in 2002.

We represent everything the popular expedition is meant to be: an unguided, lightweight, low-impact alpine expedition aspiring to more than just a week on Rainier or mule train up Aconcagua. We will prove to the millions of armchair explorers that, when determined, great things can be achieved by ordinary people, with extraordinary support and equipment.
